Colin obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2000, his Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo in 2001, and his Chartered Accountant designation in 2003.  He has prior work experience with PKF Hill Chartered Accountants in North York, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Kitchener, and Malcolm, Gilson & Co, Chartered Accountants, in Elmira.  Meerstra & Co. was established in 2007 after Colin assumed responsibility for the clients of Jim Malcolm and Cathie Wheeler, allowing them to semi-retire.  Colin is married, has five young children and lives near Elora.

Laurie is the cheerful voice on the phone and the friendly face greeting you at the office. Laurie has a Business Administration Diploma (marketing major) from Sir Sandford Fleming College, Peterborough. Laurie’s experience includes having worked at Canada Trust and in the IT department at Canadian Tire Petroleum in Toronto. Laurie is married, has two daughters, and lives in Elmira.

Eva received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2000 and obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2003. She worked with a midsized accounting firm in Guelph for 8 years, working with owner managed businesses as well as performing audits and other engagements for not-for-profit organizations and municipalities. She then spent a few years working in industry with a focus on financial accounting and reporting. She keeps a good work and family balance by working with the team at Meerstra and Co. full time during the busy tax season and periodically throughout the rest of the year. Eva, her husband Jeff and their two daughters live in Kitchener.
